Thank you, Dave....yes, this is a Haiku, an easy enough form to write but makes you give hard consideration to your word choices....because you only have 17 syllables to work with.
Haiku: 3 lines of 5 7 5 syllables doesn't have to rhyme and it is written about nature.
Senryu is like a Haiku only doesn't have to be about nature.
